The Legend, re-engineered. New lines, less weight, same attitude. The Legend X moves to a polycarbonate shell — the outer is paper thin, which makes this one of the lightest helmets we've built (400 g in a medium, 440 g in a large), with a hard EPS liner underneath doing the real work of absorbing impact.

The back dial Fit System anchors on both sides of the helmet, adjustable one-handed as the day turns. A magnet chin buckle snaps shut with gloves on. The vent system moves heat up and out, and the vented comfort liner pulls out and washes when the season catches up with it.

Certification & construction: Polycarbonate shell + EPS liner. CE EN 1077:2007 Class B and UKCA — helmet for alpine skiers and snowboarders.

The shell is in-mould polycarbonate. It's a snowboard helmet first, certified for skiing too, and it works with any goggle brand. Sizes are Medium (56–58 cm) and Large (59–61 cm). Sandbox helmets fit small, so size up, especially if you wear a beanie or balaclava underneath.
