Pink flies catch fish.  The Hot Pink Lady started off as an imitation of the Eastern Pale Evening Dun (old Catskill anglers call it the Pink Lady). I now use this fly all season long, not just during the vitreus hatch.  I wanted to blow the pink color up on this fly to make it really bright. The Hot Pink Lady accentuates the bright pink body that really makes them stand out. The bottom of the fly sinks under the surface allowing the bright pink thread to bleed through the cream dubbing. Essentially the entire fly becomes a hot spot.
